Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy applies to all apps developed by Aric Thomas, including The 100 Greatest Hikes, Camino Tracker, GPX Trail Maps, Retire Countdown, Reward Points Tracker, and Step Journey Tracker. We are committed to protecting any information you share with us.
Data We Do Not Collect
Our apps do not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Financial account information
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
Data Stored On Your Device
Some apps store data locally on your device to provide their core functionality. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it:
- The 100 Greatest Hikes & Camino Tracker: Trail progress and status selections are stored locally in the app's private storage.
- GPX Trail Maps: Recorded hikes, imported GPX/KML files, and trail data are stored locally on your device.
- Retire Countdown: Retirement dates, service details, salary information, and pension estimates are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Reward Points Tracker: Point balances and program data you enter are stored locally on your device.
- Step Journey Tracker: Step data is read from Apple HealthKit with your permission and is not transmitted externally.
HealthKit (Step Journey Tracker)
Step Journey Tracker requests read access to step count data from Apple HealthKit. This data is used solely to display your step history within the app and to power home screen widgets. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or transmitted off your device.
In-App Purchases
Some apps offer a one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment or financial information.
Third-Party Services
Our apps do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with any third parties.
Children's Privacy
Our apps do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The apps do not contain content directed specifically at children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our apps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
